i am the main preceptor on my small pcu . our last 4 new hires were all new rn's. i worry that i am nooziganrted enough, not giving them everything they need. i try to be very supportive and we encourage the whole floor to be supportive, so in that respect they do well. but trying to do your job with all it entails in a timely manner, and still teach them is very challenging! there is so much they don't know, and we only give them 6-8 weeks here, .and of course everyone thinks my job is so much easier, since i have help . being a preceptor is a love hate job. i love helping new nurses find their feet, but hate the huge responsibility i feel for them! what i do or don't teach them can affect how they do their jobs for the rest of their career, i hope i'm giving them what they need.

Thanks very much for this neat blog; this is the kind of read that keeps me on track through my wokrday. Been looking around for your site after being sent to it from a friend and was happy when I stumbled on it after googling for a while. Being a dedicated blogger, I’m dazzled to see authors like you taking initivative and contributing to the community. I would like to comment to show my appreciation for your work as it’s quite encouraging, and many bloggers do not get acceptance they deserve. I am sure I’ll visit again and will recommend to others.

Everything comes to an end. It was good while it lasted (1-7)but it was awesome before season 8.

I love your list! A personal aoedcnte for you: I semi-completed your #3. I wouldn't say it was in the best shape of my life, but I made some great strides and got down to my goal weight in September. Then I accomplished your #25 in December. I'm not sure how I feel about these two to-dos in the same year. I intentionally did both, as you plan to do, but I'm disappointed that I only got to enjoy my new super fit body for a few months, only for it to get bloated and mishapen in a fast few weeks. I knew we wanted to get pregnant at the end of the year so I was well aware of the short period I could enjoy it and didn't want to just sit on my butt because I knew I was going to get pregnant. I already have my post-baby workout plan to get back to where I was we'll see how that goes PS- I turn 30 in 2.5 months. And sorry, this comment contains no tips on how to help you check-off your to-dos.. it's just me thinking out loud! Actually, now that I think about it get in shape now, enjoy it all summer and fall (since I know you love fall), then get knocked up right before your 30th bday wait, but then you can't enjoy fantastic wine and cocktails on your birthday. Hmmm.

At last! Somnoee who understands! Thanks for posting!

I'm thankful that even when hrates are breaking and the world is trying to squeeze us into its mold everywhere we go, that God is so faithful and longs for our companionship. I couldn't ask for a better husband and daughter; they simply amaze me. My job is a financial blessing, my church is a spiritual blessing (great VBS week going on!)and my God blesses me with every provision. Thank you, Jesus.
